Cranes become dancers.

A monument of delicate strength.

Ragnheiður Harpa graduated from the Icelandic Academy of Art 2011. She is a performance maker and has recently been investigating movement. Formations of wind inspired her last piece, Luminous a participatory performance with lights for UN-Women in a campaign against gender based violence. Looking into vibrations in sound and sky she created Flight Trails, closing performance for Reykjavík Art Festival 2014. Her focus now shifts toward cranes and choreography.

Ragnheiður and Ásrún graduated together from the Arts Academy. In Ásrún’s work she seeks to bring forth invisible choreographies of the everyday, expanding the notion of what dance is. Jón Örn combines being a visual artist and a crane operator. Birta just moved to Iceland from America, recently graduating from Northeastern, Boston. Elvar is in the band Hellvar along with being a sound technician at the National Theater. They all share a curious fascination with cranes, movement and people.
